About the award
Awarded for contributions to the development of fundamental and applied chemical research. Including merits in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The winner is selected by the committee based on the results of the competition. The competition is announced annually in April.
In 2024, it is awarded for the first time.
The award ceremony is timed to coincide with the birthday of RUDN University in February next year.

- Councils of scientific and educational organizations and companies from the real economy sector engaged in research and/or development activities in the field of Chemistry
- Foreign scientific and educational organizations
- Academicians and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences
- Members of the International Scientific Councils of RUDN
- Laureates of state and international scientific awards
- Members of foreign state academies and state or international scientific communities
Applications are evaluated by the competition committee — 15+ people:
- Leading specialists and scientists from RUDN University in the field of chemistry
- Members of the International Scientific Council of RUDN in the direction “Chemical sciences”
- Leading Russian and foreign scientists, industrial experts in the field of chemistry
- Foreign scientists (at least 30% of the Committee members)
- Membership in Russian and foreign scientific organizations, academies, editorial boards of leading scientific journals, organizing committees of leading scientific and technical events
- International and national awards and prizes
- Key scientific publications
- Patents and Results of intellectual activity (RIAs)
- Participation in major scientific projects
- Training of scientific and pedagogical staff — academic advising and development of programs, as well as other achievements
